Ocean racing is part of Sodebo' s history, and these are high points for the company. 20 years ago, we embarked on the Vendée Globe, this legendary race as a shipowner alongside Thomas Coville. Then, in 2004, we went on to become the event's official sponsor.
Each edition is unique and illustrates the incredible evolution of the world of ocean racing, which has never ceased to progress. You only have to look at the evolution of the boats to understand that, with each new edition, we've entered a new era, but there's room for everyone. What we have in common are the stories of the men and women who embark on an adventure that is bound to change them. Loyalty is an essential value for our company. We are attached to the idea of thinking long-term, giving people a chance and building gradually. It's hard not to want to continue this incredible adventure, which showcases exceptional, inspiring men and women. It's no coincidence that the Vendée Globe is one of the 3 most popular sporting events in France. It's obviously an asset for developing our reputation and a great image for the Vendée.
