Stand-by for Manuel Cousin, lightning struck the top of Coup de pouce's mast.
At 11:30 pm on Saturday June 1st, Manuel Cousin lowered his sails to stop his IMOCA Coup de pouce, having been struck by lightning on the wind instruments at the top of the mast. As a result, his two pilots, the main one and the back up, are no longer functioning. Cousin has decided to put his race on hold to inspect his boat and assess the damage. He is currently working hard to find solutions to enable him to fix them.
